Unable to use ADSL and land phone at the same time. Line busy tone when ADSL line is plugged in the socket?
This happend when ISP switched their service type and provided with new filters. ADSL is working properly, whether the phone line is pluged into the socket or not. However, the phone does not work when ADSL line is plugged in the socket – line busy tone; when the ADSL line is unplugged from the socket, the phone works perfectly. I have one cordless phone and a phone/fax machine in the house, both have installed the new filters, and the same problem occurs to both phones. The ISP has done many tests, unable to find out the cause of the problem. They even sent me a new modem, but the problem remains. They said there is no problem with the phone line.
