How do I find the right coaxial adapter to connect my antenna to my TV?

My new Emerson TV (LC320EM9) has a coaxial antenna input that is listed as 75 Ohm unbalanced (F-type). My set-top antenna that I purchased from Amazon – RCA Indoor Amplified TV Antenna (B000AKVJCI) – is listed as having a 75-Ohm coaxial hook-up cable with “F” connector. They won’t connect. They are both the “screw on” type, and it seems like the antenna (male) side is a little too small to screw on. I’ve searched online for hours and can’t find an adapter I know will work. Help!

I hate to tell you this, but F-connectors should all be the same standard size. Are the threads messed up on one connector?

Sometimes the center conductor is a bit thicker, that will make pushing the connectors together difficult. Try pushing them together firmly to engage the threads.
