Power handling for RF connectors?
I’ve been doing some research on RF connectors mostly on BNC, N, SMA, and APC. I need to know the power handling capabilities of these connectors, but can’t find it. Can anyone point me to a good site with this information or a reason why this information is not relevant.
I’m not sure if the power capabilities of the actual connectors are relevant. Since the signal is traveling through the cables and the connectors are usually larger than the cables allowing them to dissipate more power than the cables themselves. In other words your cables should fail before the connectors fail.
