Can I use an ethernet coupler in order to extend my reach of my wired 360 for xbox live?

I’ve been looking into putting my 360 into my room and having my cord reach from downstairs all the way up to my room. I know a coupler is sort of like an extender where I would just plug in 2 cords and it would basically become one. I’ve also read that you can’t use them for 360′s and it will say you aren’t connected to the internet. Does anybody know if a coupler will work for an Xbox 360 connection?

if it’s a proper RJ-45 coupler, and total cable length is less than 100m (330ft), then it should work. Make sure the coupler is rated for ethernet use….
