how do you connect a laptop to a DSL filter?

like i have a computer that is connected to a DSl filter for internet, but i bought a laptop but i don’t know what to do, do i get another DSL filter or connect to the same DSL filter as the one on the computer.. please help by replying:]

check and see if your dsl filter has wireless built in because in most cases now adays they do, in which case you can call your dsl company and ask them how to set up your wireless network (don’t worry it should be free) and i assume your laptop has a built in wireless card since most laptops do nowadays. so set up the wireless network in your living space and you should be able to access the net. if your dsl router doesn’t have wireless then maybe you should consider getting a wireless router which can set up a wireless network, good luck
