help with buying hdmi things?

I have a 15m hdmi cable, 5m hdmi extension, hdmi y splitter and a 2m hdmi cable. I have connected up the splitter, 15m hdmi cable and 2m hdmi cable. I am trying to view a reciever on 2 hdtvs. Both tvs are working perfectly and there does not seem like there is any quality loss. However i have had to connect up the 5m extension to the 15m cable and now when everything is connected up i have little dots on the screen on both tvs. I have tried to connect the tv through the 15m cable + 5m extension and there are no dots on screen. So it must be displaying dots because the splitter may not be able to handle a 20m cable? One of the components (cables or splitter) could have poor shielding or a poor connection, or even just high attenuation, which would result in high bit error rates (BER) to the TV and pixelation of the picture (little colored squares frozen on the picture).

I would start by connecting first the 5m cable by itself from the receiver to the TV and see if the problem exists. If not, then try the 15m cable by itself. If the problem still does not exist, go through both cables and the splitter. Whatever you hook up and then the problem occurs is the cause of the problem.
