What is this USB network adapter so gay?

I have a WUSB11 network adapter. The thing is so god damn gay there is no official way of installing it. I finally got my computer to detect it after playing around with it for a few days. So I go to the available networks and select the one that is mine. I try to click “connect” but it’s greyed out. So I click the only other button “refresh” and my computer crashes. What the hell?

I’ve got the same adapter and I don’t have any problems with it

Did you install the drivers you got with it? (probably on a CD)

Personally I’d go to the local computer store/repair service for help.
