I want to add wireless to my home I already have home plug network can I have both. My computer is in a basem?

A wireless network cannot penetrate the bsement so I use the home plug. I now have a notebook and would like to use it over the entire house. Do I need to change routers or can I just get some kind of trasmitter for the wireless. It seems that all wireless base stations are routers.

Wireless connections CAN penetrate the basement, UNLESS, the subflooring you used is made of lead.

HOWEVER, just remember that wireless connections are not as fast or reliable as wired connections and unless you plan to move this computer around alot, there is no point.
