Will it hurt to have only the red and not the white rca audio cable plugged into my amp?
I have subs and an amp in my truck. I broke off the white rca plug that goes from the head unit to the amp. Will it hurt anything or effect the performance of the amp to only have the red plug plugged in to it?
The pin from the center of the white plug is stuck in the rca in on the amp aswell. I can not plug a new cable into it until i figure out how to get the pin out of the plug.
it will just sound funny… if its a two channel amp your left sub might stop working now. or if it’s a mono both will work only you’ll be missing some of the song out of them. if it’s a 2 channel you can get a splitter. but it would be a lot better to just attach the white plug back on. i do it at work a lot. i work on the geek squad. someone at your local best buy may fix it for you, but you’ll get charged at least $20

Keystone style inserts are compatible with both Leviton and Tyton Hellermann wall plates, allowing easy integration with existing Decora style devices. To configure wall plates, you first start with a blank Decora Insert. These single gang Decora inserts accept one to eight connectors. If more than eight connectors are needed, multiple Decora inserts may be used. If Keystone inserts are desired, then you will also need to select Hex Inserts which will allow the Adaptiplate™ Connectors to be inserted into Keystone Plates. If Keystone plates are used, standard matching Voice and Data jacks are also available. Once the wall plates have been selected, then simply select the desired Connectors for your specific application. RCA connectors are avaialble with a variety of color inserts and are suitable for all audio, video, digital and HDTV applications. “F” connectors and speaker binding posts are avaialble as well.All that is left then is to select the necessary Cover Plate for the number of decora inserts used.
