Color ethernet cable question?
Is there a significance to the color of ethernet cables? I thought grey was normal cat-5, and yellow was crossover Cat-5, but what about blue and red cables?

The color has no significance in most cases, any color cable can be used for any use. The way the connectors are terminated determines whether or not it is a crossover.
Within some larger networks a color code will be used to distinguish between different types of cables, but the only way to know how it is pinned out is to look at the connectors.
In the past I’ve seen red cables used exclusively for crossover cables, and other colors used to distinguish between types of traffic. There is no widely accepted specific standard for this though.
